ART ON PEARL

For one exciting evening, the magnificent interior of the former Home Savings Bank at 11 N. Pearl Street in downtown Albany will be transformed into a bustling art gallery, thanks to the vision of a new organization of Albany-based working artists.  On Thursday, May 27 from 7 - 10pm, approximately 10 local artists will have their work on display, ranging from paintings to framed drawing installations.  

         Albany Underground Artists is organizing the event as a follow-up to their highly successful February exhibition in a former Lark Street bakery that drew more than 1,000 attendees.  The group’s goal is to encourage the creative minds of the Capital District to produce provocative and interesting art to share with Albany’s varied communities.
