TOMORROW’S MASTERS TODAY
The folks at the Albany Institute of History & Art pride themselves on being the keepers of the area’s artistic and historic legacy, but their latest exhibition looks toward the future.
Tomorrow’s Masters Today highlights emerging artists in the Capital Region with a show that presents 50 original works by 50 local artists. At the opening reception, the Institute will name a select “master class” of 10 artists in the exhibition and a single Master Piece from the works.
The art will be up for auction at the 2010 Museum Gala on June 11. Tomorrow’s opening offers the public a chance to peruse the works of area up-and-comers, explore the Institute galleries and enjoy music by the Next Station.
